ROYAL MEMORIAL FUND
Donations to the King George V Memorial Fund are still coming in, and the total for the Wellington metropolitan area approaches £17,000. Recent donations are as follows:—Previously acknowledged, £16,615 6s; "F.H.H.," £1 6s 6d; The Mansions, 3s 6d; Frank Downes, Norfolk Island, per N.Z.R.S.A., 2s; total for Mayor's list, £16,616 18s; total for VVellingtOji metropolitan arc^i, £16,937 1& 9d.
The Council of the New Zealand Golf Association today sent to the Acting Prime Minister a cheque for £57 2s sd, making in all £557 2s 5d collected for the King George V. Memorial Fund by the ladies' and the men's golf clubs.
Three second offenders for drunkenness were each fined 10s by Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court today. They were Joseph Christopher Mooney, a labourer, aged 52; Thomas Harvey, a seaman, aged 37; and John Lewis, a labourer, aged 47.
For casting offensive mailer. William Corlen was convicted and ordered to pay Court- costs by Mr. J. H. .Luxford, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.
