DECLARED ILLEGAL
HOSIERY MILL STRIKE
PHILADELPHIA, June 21,
The first ruling by a Federal Court on a sit-down strike was issued by the Circuit Court of Appeals. It declares the strike illegal and orders the strikers to vacate a hosiery mill Which they seized. The seizure is now declared criminal and the union may be held to1 be a violator of the Sherman Act on the ground that it has restrained inter-State commerce.
