INVERCARGILL, June 22.
In the Magistrate's Court today, Robert John Timpany, billiard-room proprietor, pleaded guilty to a charge of carrying on business as a bookmaker.
He was fined £25. Detective-Sergeant Thompson remarking that the defendant was merely the agent of an un* known principal. . '
