ST. JAMES THEATRE.
"The Dominant Sex."
Critics who have seen Diana Churchill's film "The Dominant Sex," which comes to the St. James Theatre on Friday, have been astounded by the acting ability of that young lady, and expressions of approval and applause have since been printed in the Press throughout the world. Judging by this wealth of glorification it can be assumed that "The Dominant Sex" pleased the dominant critics, • and their opinions all declare that it is one of the most outstanding pictures ever to be screened. It is a delicately interwoven theme of dramatic stiuations, not unmixed with humour—poignant humour that is characteristic of real life. This is a really human story of a modern married couple facing life with modern weapons, and it deals in a frank, outspoken way with some of the sex problems so often recurring in married life. It is as Angela, the wife of Dick Shaje (Phillips Holmes), that Diana Churchill has earned the praise bestowed upon her by all who have seen this picture. Critics agree that she is one of the most brilliant actresses of today, and that her perfect ease and grace, her natural flowing eloquence, poise, and irresistible personality all proclaim for her an outstanding movie career.
