"Crime Over London."

■ One of the most novel plots to be conceived in recent years forms the exciting story of "Crime Over London," which comes to the Deluxe Theatre on Friday. It features Paul Cavanagh, Joseph Cawthorn, Basil Sydney, and Margot Grahame in the cast. The story concerns a powerful group of Chicago gangsters who found things a bit. too hot on their native soil and migrated to London. The leader'(Basil Sydney) has difficulty in keeping them within bounds until the right moment for what he considers a worthwhile coup. An audacious plan presents itself when they learn' that a former associate of; theirs bears a striking resemblance to toe owner of a large departmental store. To celebrate the store's twenty-fifth anniversary, the owner prepares a big reception at which every employee' is to receive a ■month's pay. Knowing this, the gang plans to kidnap the owner and place their impersonator in his place, thus making it possible for them to get away with the cash accumulated for the staff bonuses. The plan works admirably until the owners nephew (Paul Cavanagh) becomes suspicious, after which the action becomes thrilling in the extreme. Edward Everett Horton plays a combination of Tarzan, human fly, and racing driver,' in TJniversal's comedy, "Oh, Doctor!" the associate feature. The fun begins when' Horton, falling in love, tries to impress his sweetheart with a series of dare-devil, breath-taking,, and neckrisking stunts which almost causes the crooks to whom he sells a prospective fortune to die of heart faiure. The cast includes Donrue Leighton,, William Hall, Eve Arden, Thurston Hall, Catharine Doucet; and William !Demarest.
