ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
There was a good attendance of members and trainees at a recent meeting of the Lower Hutt Nursing Division of the St. John Ambulance Association. A first aid class was held, at which members demonstrated first aid bandaging (with splints), the trainees then having the opportunity of practising the various bandages.
The secretary reported that the R.S.A. Kail and an orchestra had been engaged for the divisional dance next month. A committee to complete arrangements in this connection was appointed. A church parade of the various sections of the St. John Ambulance Association in the Hutt Valley will be held on June 27 at' St. Augustine's Church, Petone. All'members present promised to attend.
Dr. Bolt gave a lecture on the "Structure of the Body," and passed round for identification and examination various bones of the body. He then dealt with the classification of fractures, their causes, and the correct treatment.
