HAMILTON, This Day.
An increased turnover and a corresponding increase in profits were disclosed at the annual meeting of the National Dairy Association today. The meeting was attended by delegates representing almost every dairy district in New Zealand. Mr. A. Morton presided.
■According to the report, the turnover in goods and machinery was a record, amounting to £234,793, as against '£201,470 in the previous year. The increase in goods was £16,476 and that of machinery £16,845. The manager, Mr. C. H. Backhouse, said that overhead expenses in relation to turnover for the past three years had been 7:84 per cent, in the year ended April 30, 1935, 18.36 in 1935-36, and 7.7 in 1936-37.
Mr. Morton, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, said the year had been successful in every
