SOBER CROWDS
CORONATION WEEK

RUGBY, June 3.
There was an echo in the House of Commons today of Coronation Day when crowds of unprecedented dimension thronged London streets till late at night,, and of the following nights on which the West End was given over to jubilation and millions filled the streets to see the illuminations and decorations.
Sir Samuel Hoare, the new Secretary of State for Home Affairs, told the House that the number of persons charged with drunkenness of all kinds in the whole of the metropolitan district during Coronation Week was 492.
