DRAW ANNOUNCED v

The draw for the annual seven-a---side tournament to be conducted by the Wellington Women's Hockey Association at Karori Park next Wednesday, was announced today. The tournament will commence at 1 a.m., and all teams must be on the field ready to start at the scheduled times, otherwise they will lose by default. Each game will consist of two spells of 7 minutes, with an interval of 1 minute. Points will be allotted as follows: For a win, 2 points; for a draw, 1 point; for a loss, 0 points.

In semi-finals and finals, if at the end of fifteen minutes play the result is a draw, full extra spells of seven minutes each will be played until one team wins; in all other games just two spells of seven minutes each will be played, and if resulting in a draw 1 point each will be alloted to each team. All teams must hand to the referee at the commencement of their first game a team sheet. No team may be altered after the first game without permission from the committee. The tournament will be postponed only if the weather is exceptionally bad, and in the event of a postponement, players may communicate with telephone 25-433 for information.
