The cast for the first perprmance is: Bessie Throckmorton, iUnice Standen; Jill-All-Alone, Gwen feachen; Queen Elizabeth, Zena Wilis; Sir Walter Raleigh, Richard Steviison;. the s Earl- of Essex, Arthur The second night's cast is: Jessie Throckmorton, Erice Duncan; ill-All-Alone, Karen Look; Queen llizabeth, Margaret Haslam; Sir Waler Raleigh, Arthur. Goatham; the Earl f Essex, George' Gray. ■ The minor iarts of Long Tom and the Butcher nil be taken by Norman Grenfill; the laker, Alfred Arnott; Tinker, Wesley 'oster; Tailor, Thomas McNair. All lie principals are members of the ociety. The chorus of eighty will be nder the baton of Mr. Thomas Wood nd the accompaniiment will be played •y Miss Barbara Bannister and Miss ris Mason at two pianos.

With the, help of the War Office, the military' scenes for Erich Pommer's "Troopship't were shot at the Denham studios. Eor days a long line of coaches • arrived bringing hundreds of Horse Guards, Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, and the Lancers. These troops are taking part in the scenes showing the arrival of the Somersetshire ,at Southampton Docks. On a big stage the complete side of the troopship Somersetshire was constructed and the quayside with its cranes and gangplanks. Leslie Banks playing the part of Colonel Blair, and his wife played.by' Flora Robson, head the great cast of "Troopship." The story first occurred to the authors Wolfgang , Wilhelm and Patrick Kirwan when they saw • a Press notice that a troopship carrying soldiers who were coming home , after several years' duty in the East had been instructed, owing to an emergency, to leave again almost immediately.
