ADDINGTON SALE.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) j CHRISTCHURCH, June 2.. i, Entries were smaller than usual at today's weekly Addington market, and in the fat lamb and fat sheep sections they were less than butchers' requirements. Fat sheep were dearer, but fat cattle easier. In a small yarding of store sheep, lambs were, back by 2s a head. Ewes were slightly easier, but wethers wereunchanged. Station wether lines made from 24s to 265. , " Fewer thdn 4000 fat sheep were yarded. Wethers were in short supply and were, better by up to Is Gd, and ewes by 2s a head. Exporters bought light ewes freely. Best wethers made from 36s to 41s, good 30s to 345, prime medium weights 27s to 295, light down- to 255; best ewes 23s to 265, good 20s to 22s 6d, light down to 17s. The 540 fat cattle penned were mostly of indifferent quality, and values were down by 20s a head. Best steers sold at from £13 .to £15 17s 6d good £11 to £12 10s, inferior down to £8 ,10s; best heifers £8 to £11, good £6 to £7 10s; best cows to £10 10s good £5 10s,to £?. inferior down to £4, " •' ■ In tm fat pig section porkers were unchanged, but baconers were scarcely up to the rates of last week. Porkers made 25s 6d to 51s 6d, average price per lb 6d to 6Jd; baconers, 49s Bd to £4 19s 6d; average price per lb, 5Jd to Gid.
