Supper arrangements were in the hands of a special committee which had decorated the long tables in the supper room with vases of dainty Iceland poppy buds, bowls of violets, and tall vases of miniature hydrangeas.

RANGITIKEI HUNT

Seldom have hounds and horses been treated to such a strenuous outing as that enjoyed at the Rangitikei Hunt Club's day at "Shirley." Hares were remarkably plentiful, the runs were fact and exciting, and three "kills" were made. Although the last run was early in the afternoon, it was decided to "call it a day," and everyone was entertained at Mrs. E. L. Briant's hospitable homestead at afternoon tea. Among the riders were Mrs. E. Duncan, Misses C. Wilson, V. Cameron, M. Marshall. The. spectators included Lady Richardson (England), Mesdames G. Briant, R. K. Simpson, Christensen, •G. L. Marshall, F. McLean, W. W. Wilson, and Misses Levett (Bulls), J. Marshall (Wanganui), Deighton, Hammond, Wilkie, and Simpson. Farewell Party. .
