"SUICIDE BATTALION" REUNION.

Many of the New Zealand units that served in the Great War had a norn de guerre and in almost every case the members of a unit were proud of the distinctive title: The Otago Regiment was dubbed "Suicide Battalion" because of its uncanny knack of always being out in front when the enemy was feeling most vindictive, and as the trials of war fostered good comradeship the members of the regiment always like to get together to renew friendships. There are approximately two hundred of them in the Wellington district and when their reunion is held on Saturday night they hope to have close on that number present. Former members of the unit have an active reunion committee in the city and all arrangements have been made for Saturday's function, even if every available member attends.
