«" MISSING CLIMBERS
(By TelefrrflDli-'-Presii Association.) . NEW PLYMOUTH, May 18. A man and a woman who attempted to climb Mount Egmont today became lost, and had not been found at a late hour tonight.- They are Miss T. Field. Nelson, and Mr. Arnold ' Prestige, Matapu, South Taranaki. Search parties were organised and a thorough search is being made.
The intention of the two was to climb to Fantham's Peak. It is believed they returned to the lower slopes and became lost in the bush. Rain has been falling most of the afternoon and tonight, and conditions are rigorous for searchers.
