VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY
(By Telegraph— I'msf Association.) NAPIER, May 18. ' At the conclusion of the case for the defence of John Windle, labourer, the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, directed the jury in the Supreme Court to return a verdict of not guilty, which they did without leaving the box. Windle was charged with breaking and entering a house by day with intent to commit a theft. His Honour said he did not think it proper j to convict, . ■■.•■:'
