HONORARY SURGEONS
PROPOSAL REJECTED

> AUCKLAND, May 18.
An effort- to settle difficulties th3t have arisen following the recent election of senior surgeons to the honorary staff of the Auckland hospital was made by the chairman of the Hospital Board, the Rev. W. C. Wood, at a meeting of the board.
Mr. Wood's proposal was that the three senior surgeons who were not, reappointed at the election, Drs. Eisdell Moore, L. A. Spedding, andE. H. B. Milsom, be requested to accept appointments to the honorary visiting staff in view 'of their past services and the important positions they occupy. The chairman's motion was rejected by five votes to four, and the previous appointments will remain unchanged.
