PRIVATE DANCE

Over 100 guests were entertained in the Taia Hall on Monday night by Mr. and Mrs. J. Madsen, 30 Mahora Street, Kilbirnie, in honour of their daughter. Miss Ruby. Grace Madsen. Streamers, balloons, and coloured lights decorated the hall. Mrs. Madsen received the guests, wearing a pretty frock of gold lame crepe with coatee in black and gold, and she was presented with a posy in toning shades. The guest of honour wore a frock:of pastel green net over satin, trimmed in a most original design of large rosettes with violets and silver leaves arranged in tiny artistic sprays, and her hairband was to match. She also wore a white grooved cony fur cape, the gift of her parents. The evening was spent in dancing, interspersed with solo dances and vocal items, those performing being little Miss June Scott, Miss Judy Cooper -and partner, Miss Joan Mabin and Mr. Riley. During the supper interlude Mr. Madsen proposed the toast of his daughter, which was received with musical honours. Fill wet boots with dry oats, and set aside for a few. hours. The oats will draw out the moisture, arid will prevent the leather from shrinking and cracking.
