A big, well-made gelding by; Grafton Loch from Lady Eta, hewas in his 22nd year. , . , ; Lochson had a fairly successful career on the flat, In which his most im« portant victory was in the Davidson! Handicap at Hawera in 1921. It was as a.hurdler, however, that he really; made his name. His most notable victory was in the Grand National Hurdle 3 at Riccarton 'in 1924, when he carried 11.4 and beat Santiago and Le Fort, with Nukumai, Omaha, Sir Koseberry, and Vagabond among the unplaced] division. Throughout the whole of his racing career he was trained by his owner, Mr. W. G. Anstis, at New Ply* mouth. He won 12 races in 54 starts and £3975 in stakes. • >.
