SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
A depression of moderate intensity covers the Dominion today, lowest, pressure being oft the cast coast of the South Islani. Northerly winds. increased somewhat in force during last night, especially about and south of Cook Strait, but a southerly change has since taken place over the southern half of the South Island. Unsettled, dull, and misty weather has continued to prevail, and except in the coastal area between East Cape and Cape Palliser, rain has been fairly widespread and in, places heavy at times. .
