HUTT VALLEY MEETING
.The annual meeting of the Hutt Valley branch of the Master Builders' Association was held in- Lower Hutt on Monday evening and was presided over by the president (Mr. A. F. W. Jackson). .
There was a large attendance of members as well as the president of the Wellington Association (Mr. A. B. Fraser), several members of the ~>Wellington executive, and some members of the executive of the New Zealand
Federation. '
Several visitors complimented the Hutt Valley branch on the progress it had made during the year.
The main discussion centred round the State housing scheme, which is reported elsewhere. .'
The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted.
The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. A. F. W. Jackson (reelected) ; vice-president,. Mr. W. E. Jones (re-elected); secretary, Mr. L. V. Phillips; executive committee, Messrs. A. W. Treseder, D. Murray, D. Daily, H. H. Beazley, E. W. Wise, P. M. Terry, G. C. Pearce, and R. Scholes.
