LARGE TURNOVERS EVERYWHERE
Fine weather favoured all the race meetings held in the Dominion yesterday in commemoration of Coronation Day, and all clubs enjoyed splendid turnovers. The racing everywhere was well contested, and form horses had a particularly good innings. The first of the important winter steeplechases, at Egmont, was won by Don Erma, and other'chasing winners were Roxy, Sporting Song, and Shillelagh Wood. Trentham stables won two of the ■main flat handicaps, the Mcßae Cup at Egmont with Arctic King and the Coronation Handicap at Otaki with Korero.
