CORONATION MEDALS
CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTOR
• A recipient of a Coronation medal suggested to a "Post" reporter today that the Government, before issuing the Coronation medals, should ask those to whom they have been awarded whether they wanted them or not.
"I was awarded war medals," he said, "but I have not collected them as I have a conscientious objection to decorations. I have no objection to anyone who values medals accepting them, but I think my point of view is worthy of just as much consideration. I would respectfully suggest that the Government ask the recipients whether they desire the medals or not, and that the names of those who refuse to take them should be published in the Press."
