There is still some warmth in the soil, and seedlings of hardy plants put out now have a chance of getting well rooted before the worst weather comes. . Dig all seedling weeds under where space permits, otherwise hand weeding -will be necessary.- Hoeing is not satisfactory at this time of year. Further plantings of bulbs may still -be made.
