(Received May 13,,9.30 a.m.) SEATTLE, May 12. Freddie Steele knocked out Frank Bataglia in the /third round of a fifteen-round bout, retaining his American middleweight title. A crowd of 9000 witnessed the fight. After scoring knockdowns in the first and second rounds, Steele ended the fight after 34 seconds in-the third round with a crushing left followed by a two-fisted barrage which sent Bataglia flat on his face on the canvas. Bataglia's handlers dragged him to "his corner.
