A: Hanan gave a lecture this week on New Zealand at the Central Hall, Westminster, at the request of the' National Union of Conservative and-Unionist Associations. He, traced the Dominion's history • from the time of its discovery by Tasman and Captain Cook, and dealt with its scenic attractions, and aspects of its legislation. The lecture, one of two. special education addresses arranged by the associations, was exceptionally well attended, and. Mr. Hanan's request that. opportunities should 'be -given; 'the young people. of. both Great Britain and the Empire to exchange visits and to become acquainted ■ by' correspondence was roundly applauded. -.-' The installation meeting of the New. Zealand Lodge ,-.(No. .5175) was held on April 22. This lodge is an Anzac Lodge, and it had a special Anzac feature through the fact that the members of the, New Zealand Contingent, officers and, men, attended. The nevtrly-installed Master was Mr. Graham Michie, and the installing Master was Dr. Lan Maclean. Mr." W. J. Jordan (High Commissioner), a past Master of the Manukau Lodge/was greeted as a joining member. A very happy evening was spent.
