ENGLISH VISITORS
FAREWELL PARTY
Captain and Mrs. V. G. Webb gave a "rive o'clock" party yesterday evening at their home, 24 Watt Street. Wadestown, to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Lamorna Birch, who will leave by the Wanganella on their return journey to England. Captain and Mrs. Webb, who recently visited England travelled out on the same ship as Mr. and Mrs. L. Birch, and during their sojourn in New Zealand this eminent English artist and his wife have made many other friends in this country. Among those at the party' were Mr. and Mrs. W. H .Price, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Tririgham, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Greenland, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Salmon, Mr. and Mrs. Godric-Munlz, Mrs. D. Aiken, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Reid, Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Reid, Mrs. Murray Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. H. Toogood, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Wauchop, Mrs. C. H. Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Perry, Mrs. J. W. Matthewson, Captain E. Graves Morris, Captain and Mrs. Wybrands Olphert, Ml. A. G. Barnett, Mr. R. H. Nesbitt. The hostess wore an attractive, frock of pastel blue cloque. The reception rooms were decorated with hydrangeas and autumn Seaves, and there were bright fires, making everything particularly cheery and comfortable. ,
