CANNED BEER.
The first samples of tinned English beer have reached Port Darwin. It is expected there will be big business carried on in tinned beer, especially in up-country districts, where freight and carriage are always a heavy item. Port Darwin is the furthest north port of-Australia,' after Thursday Island.
