;' An Air Ministry Commission of six, ' with Dr. Eckener as • the principal I member, is going to the United States jin the liner Europa tomorrow in conI nection with the loss of the Zeppelin Hindenburg. Germany is in deep mourning. The Chancellor (Herr.Hitler) has received a telegram from King George as follows:—"I am deeply shocked by the news of the disaster and hasten to express my sincere condolences." After discussing the possibility Ot sabotage, Dr. Eckener said it was possible that lightning struck the Hindenburg while she was manoeuvring and when highly inflammable hydrogen, was being discharged. He added: "The construction of airships. will-continue. Naturally no passenger will set foot again in an airship filled with hydrogen, and therefore we shall use helium, regardless of cost."
Herr Hitler is giving £2500 to the survivors of the disaster.
