VISIT OF DR. T. Z. KOO.
The presence of Dr. T. Z. Koo, the Chinese Christian youth leader, ;is evoking fkeen public interest. At present he is visiting Auckland and large attendances are. reported at his various meetings. Dr. Koo will return to Wellington next Thursday, when he will be entertained at lunch by the students of Victoria University College and the Training College.- His >. first oublic meeting will be held in Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, on Thursday night, and'on the following night a second meeting will be held at the same place. At the public meeting on Friday Dr. Koo will speak on "China in the Re-making." The function on Friday' will be held under the ausojces of 'the League of Nations Union and;the Institute of Pacific Relations..! Next Friday at 10.15 a.m. also Dr. Koo will'address a rally of ministers at the V.M.C.A., Willis Street, after, which he will be entertained at lunch by the Institute of International Affairs. On the same day at tea he will be the ?uest of the joint boards of the National V.M.C.A. and the Wellington V.M.C.A. On Saturday Dr. Koo will be engaged at a retreat which will be held under the auspices, of the Student 'Christian movement, and which will Ibe attended by members pi the S.C.M. Auxiliary and senior friends of the movement. On Sunday. May 16, a youth rally will bei held under the aus-: cices of the. Wellington Christian Youth Council, when Dr. Koo will speak on "Youth Building a New World." This will be preceded in the morning by a service at St. Paul's Pro-Cathedral. In the evening Dr. Koo will t>e the guest of the Chinese community. He will depart for the south on the Monday, after addressing a I business men's luncheon to be held under the auspices of the V.M.C.A. and at which he will speak on "The International Situation in the Far East,", and a tea-function at which will be nresent the youne women of the Y.W.C.A: Dr. Koo's visit to New Zealand has been arranged by , the N.Z.S.C.M. which, is affiliated with, the World Student Federation, of which Dr. Koo is one of the outstanding leaders.
