With the exception 'of potatoes, most lines in the grain ;and ?produce markets are at present attracting.littlp interest. The small seeds, trade is done for the season; though some'lines are coming in.from the ~ country \ fairly freely. ■ ' . ■. ~:-.','•
The North Island' demaiid for potatoes has not yet set in in earnest, but the market remains firm under the prospect of a fairly' large South American business. The first shipment of 200 tons from Lytteltbn will go by the Hororata on Monday. The Coptic is cfue to sail about the end of j next week, taking about 1200 tons, and at the end of the month the Mania will take 1000 tons.', ■ ,-.',..' . '
