DISTRICT NURSE
UPPER HUTT MEETING
The annual meeting of the Upper Hutt District Nurse committee was held recently. Mr. J. Purvis, the district representative on the Wellington Hospital Board, presided. The balance-sheet showed that after £70 had been paid to the Wellington Hospital Board, there was a balance of £1 3s 9d in the savings bank. Grants had been received from the following:—Macarthy Trust Board, £20; Upper Hutt Borough- Council, £15; Lord Nuffield Fund, through the Mayor of Wellington, £10. Donations arounting to £9 Is had been received from various people. Nurse Hodder's report showed that the total of attendances for the year was 3539.
Motions of appreciation of the services of the chairman and secretary were passed and it was decided to send a letter to the "Wellington Hospital Board eulogising the work of the nurse in the district.
Officers were elected as follows: — Chairman, Mr. J. Purvis; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. H. Guthrie; hon. auditor, Mr. H. Reynolds; executive committee. Mesdames Rodgers and Robertson. Messrs. A. J. McCurdy, Harper, J. \Blewman, Ashford, W. Greig, P. Pi: Keys: \P. Robertson, and Dr. F. W. Kemp. ■
