The ballot for the position o£ general secretary to the Federated Cooks' and Stewards' Union, it was announced at a meeting of the union last night, resulted; Mr. W. P. Walsh, 906 votes; Mr. Hardymant, 7 votes; informal, 3 votes; majority, 899 votes.
