"HOTSPUR'S" VISION

Recently in the "Daily Telegraph," "Hotspur" wrote:— Fourteen years ago the names of the first three in the Derby began with the letter P. It would not surprise me if the names of the first three in this year's Two Thousand Guineas began with the letter F. "Hotspur" was evidently referring to Fairford, Foray, and Fair Copy. The race was decided last Wednesday and the places were filled by Le Ksar, Goya 11, and Midday Sun. Probably "Hotspur's" vision of F's meant "French," as winner and runner-up were bred in France.
