NEW OPERA HOUSE.
The popularity of George Wallace in the Connors and Paul production "Let's Say Good-bye," was shown by the large audience at the Opera House last night. Wallace is the principal in the show, but he is assisted by a group of artists of unusual talent. George's inimitable humour was greatly appreciated by the audience, who gave him a wonderful reception. He was at his best in bright sketches such as "Good-night, Bob," "Typist's Error," and "Meeting the Sultan," and he also displayed his talent for tap-dancing. There was a certain freshness about the items which must have pleased even the most blase. The programme was varied by solo acts, all of which were of a . high standard. These acts included new dancing turns, acrobatics, singing, and impersonations. The same programme will be presented nightly this week with a matinee tomorrow.
