EMPIRE BROADCAST
TIME OF RECEPTION
The broadcast of what is known as the "Empire Homage Programme," which will, be one of the features of the Coronation ceremony on May 12, will be received in New Zealand between 5.50 o'clock and 6.40 o'clock (New Zealand time) on the morning of May 13, and it will be rebroadcast from the four main national stations at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. It is proposed to record the programme here as it comes through, and this will be rebroadcast again at 5.30 p.m. on the 13th. A Maori speaker will convey the greetings of the Dominion from this end, and a sailor will speak. Both are anonymous. The Prime Ministers, who will be in London for the Imperial Conference, will speak on behalf of their respective Dominions. The programme will.be concluded by a.talk by the newly-crowned King, who will be heard from 6.30 a.m. to 6.40 a.m. New Zealand time.
