The British Broadcasting Corporation has issued the final.details of the pro- . gramme of the Empire's homage to be offered to the King on Coronation Day by radio. ; The programme will open with a re- ■ corded extract from the Coronation service, followed by . a recorded "flash" of the Royal procession. After this a septuagenarian Lon- , doner who remembers the Coronations . of King George V and King Edward ; VII and Queen Victoria's golden and diamond jubilees will be the first re- ; presentative citizen to oiler homage. ' Other British subjects will include an Aberdeen woman who will greet Queen t Elizabeth from her native Scotland. ; The homage of the Prime Ministers. ; will be interspersed with, that of re- ■ presentatives of their Dominions, in- , eluding a,jackaroo (an English, cadet on an Australian sheep station) speaking from Sydney.'a New Zealand sailor ■ arid a Maori spokesman, the latter using his Native tongue, from Wellington. • ■ ■■■■ ■■■■■■■.■"• As London .calls each Dominion specially composed trumpet fanfares will be played. Rehearsals will begin on Monday.' AUDIENCE OF 700,000,000. It will be the most ambitious programme yet planned by the British Broadcasting Corporation.- It will last nearly an hour, beginning at 7.20 p.m., and will include features popularised during the Christmas Day, broadcasts ( in the reign of King George V. The . Dominion Premiers will- offer homage to his Majesty, all speaking from Lon- ' don. and the Viceroy will follow, broadcasting from India. A roll of . the colonies will then be called. Thsir message ''to: the King will be voiced ; from Bermuda by General Sir Reginald , Hildyard. ■'■■ ■ Mr. Stanley Baldwin will .then deliver the 'closing.address,;: leading up to the King's broadcast from Buckingham Palace, which will be historic as : the first of, a monarch speaking to all i his subjects throughout the world within a few hours of his Coronation.
