AWARDS MADE
Amongst1 the 'first.awards made ,at the Coronation Show were those for model aeroplanes and- the home cooking section, where the price of eggs had rather cut down entries. The tollowing are the awards made:— :■ MODEL AEROPLANES. The first prize in each is a silver cup presented by the Wellington' Show Association, and second one years subscription to the Wellington Model Af e°nSrf-A. Vause, 1; H. A. Knowles, *" Junior.—C. K. Brown, 1; J. M. Hay, 2; Al£cov£ed (junior) .-I. Mclntyre, 1; An.S^.W.Pearce, ''''The judg^'Mr. W. J. Finlayson, commented that' most models entered were complete as regards , details, but not outstanding as to finish. Minor points were neglected, spoiling a_few otherwise presentable efforts. Carelessness in covering was common. The most original gentry was a. reproduction ot mofel in show classes was won by 1/Mclntyre, .whose entry m the uncovered exhibition class was a well detailed and fairly well constructed model Fokker D.VII.
