For the remainder of the spell University held the upper hand.. Kissell kicked a penalty for University and Fisher scored an unconverted try. In the second half Kane scored for Wellington, arid after a strong run by Wild, O'Regan- crossed for the students. O'Regan ■'"■ opened the way for a try by Wild which Kissell converted. The final scores were: University 11; Wellington 6. Mr. R. Bryden was ttu referee.
