OLD LACE AND SATIN
A very long and very lovely Brussels lace veil over 150 years old was worn by Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Hopkins's only daughter, Shirley Liesette, when she was married at St. Paul's ProCathedral on Saturday afternoon to William John Edgeworth Lillie, son of Mrs. Lillie and the late Mr. James Lillie, of Melbourne, Australia. ; .
There was a- charming old world beauty about the bride's ensemble that harmonised with the mellow wooded interior, of the cathedral. Her gown was of deep cream satin. She.wore a beautiful old pendant of seed pearls in a gold setting, a.gift from her mother, and she carried a sheaf of deep red roses to match . the scarlet chiffon gowns wore by her attendants.: The veil,' which was lent by the bridegroom's mother, was held to her head cap fashion by a halo wreath of orange blossom mounted on tiny dark green leaves...
