WOMEN'S HOCKEY
SEASON BEGINS
Women's hockey championship games opened on city and suburban grounds on Saturday afternoon, and play in all grades opened under,, favourable conditions. There were no' surprises in the senior A matches, but the performance of new players and promoted teams was watched with interestT.O.G. 1 defeated Toa by 6 goals to 0 at Newtown, and T.O.G. 2 beat Poneke by 3 goals to 0.
