OXFORD NOT TO TAKE PART
CELEBRATIONS AT GERMAN
UNIVERSITY
LONDON, April 28.
The University of Oxford has withdrawn its acceptance of the invitation to be. represented at the bi-centenary celebrations of Gottingen University, Prussia.
This is the same attitude as. the abstention from the Heidelberg celebrations last year, made on the ground of reluctance to associate with a university where learning is subjected to political purposes and where professors are dismissed on political
grounds.
