W.F.A. DECISION
GAMES POSTPONED
"Public opinion will demand it," said Mr. J. Meltzer at the meeting of, the management committee of the Wellington Football Association last night when it was decided because of the outbreak of infantile paralysis to discontinue- all primary school boys' games until the Saturday after the schools reopen. Sixth, seventh, and eighth divisions are those affected.
The matter was raised by the chairman (Mr. W. B. Hicks), who said he thought it would be wise to postpone the games until the restrictions were lifted. The possibility of any boy contracting the disease at football was remote, but if by some unfortunate chance a case did occur the members of the management committee would not feel very happy about it.
Members agreed on the wisdom of postponing the boys' games.
