MANCHESTER UNITY
INSTALLATION CEREMONY
The installation of Bro. W. McMillan as Grand Master of the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows (New Zealand) was carried out in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last evening. He was invested by the Installing .Master, Bro. A. C. Blair, the retiring Grand Master, who also, invested the Deputy Grand Master, Bro. N.- B. Bellringer. A new member of the board of directors. Bro. G. Wilson, was invested by the Grand Master. The District Grand Master, Bro. J. L. Stewart, presided. A Past Grand "" ... jewel was presented to Bro. Blair, who also received a coffee and. tea service. Bro. W. I. Clark, P.D.G.M., gave the address to the Grand Master, and Bro. John McLeod, P.G.M.. the address to the officers. Bro. A. G. Shrimpton, G.S., P.G.M., was the Director of Ceremonies. The gathering was addressed by the Minister in Charge of Friendly Societies (the Hon. W. Lee Martin), and the evening concluded with supper and dancing.
