SOUTHLAND HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS
A Wellington branch of the Southland High School Old Boys' Association was formed at a meeting last night There were about 40 old boys of the school present. It was reported that a tentative committee had sent out nearly 200 circulars to old boys residing in the. district, and that many who had been unable to attend had promised to sup port the movement. The following officers were elected —Chairman, the Rev. J. A. Asher (the first boy enrolled at the school); vicepresidents, Messrs. A. C. Mitchell and S Hall; secretary, Mr. J. R. MacPhersoh; treasurer, Mr. V. McElhinney, committee, Messrs. S. C. Gillies, M. J Forde, J. Taylor, A. Thompson, and J. Cameron. It was resolved to make' a canvass for members and to hold a social function as soon as the organisational work was completed.
