SALVATION ARMY
ANNUAL CONGRESS
The annual congress of the Salvation Army will be-held in "Wellington from tomorrow evening until next Tuesday, and approximately 250 delegates from all parts of New Zealand are expected to be present. Tomorrow evening the delegates-will be welcomed by local members of the Army, the speakers for the evening being Majors Nelson and Rimmer, Mrs. Major Searle, and Sergeant-Major Collie.
Congress work will be continued on Friday, and on Sunday a special meeting will be held in the Town Hall at 3 p.m., when Lieutenant-Commissioner F. H. Adams will present a report on social work in New Zealand. The Acting Prime Minister (the Hon. P. Fraser) will preside, and the supporting speakers will be Adjutant Maude Hoare and Brigadier George Dry. The Salvation Army bands and songsters will be in attendance.
