MYRIAM IN FORM
V W. J. WOOD'S SUCCESS
Myriam's double success on the second day of the Marlborough Racing Club's Meeting reflected a deal of credit on the training of W. J. Wood, of Trentham. Wood has never had a large team under his care, but with Arctic King he has won some good handicaps, and he.again has that staying son' of Rabbi and Snowland in excellent trim for the Dannevirke Meeting. . ■ . Myriam, who now looks like graduating successfully to open company at distances up to a mile, was bought by Mrs. W. A. Fuller at Mr. J. J. Corry's dispersal sale last year for 100 guineas, at which price she is proving a bargain. She had periods of training under three other trainers, with little promise, until she entered Wood's stable, and she has now won. three raices for him. Myriam, v/ho is by Lord Warden from Alyson, by Kilbroney—Rebekah, by Bezonian—Snowstill, who traces to the Mermaid taproot, is staying bred, and has great potential value as a matron.
