INFANTILE PARALYSIS

AUCKLAND, This Day.
Three more children suspected of having infantile paralysis have been admitted to. the Auckland Hospital. One is a boy from St. Heliers Bay, who is regarded as a doubtful case, and the other two are a. child of 10/ months from Pukekohe East and a six-year-old boy from the city area. A mild case, that of a girl aged seven years, has been' reported from Thames. A further case of infantile paralysis was notified this morning, a girl aged 3£ years from Te Arai, near Mangawai, North Auckland: PATEA, This Day. The first case of infantile paralysis in the Patea district was admitted to the Patea Hospital yesterday. The patient is a child aged two years. MASTERTON, This Day. Another suspected case of infantile paralysis was reported in the Wairarapa yesterday, a boy of 4J years being admitted to hospital from Carterton. There are now 13 children in hospital, nine of whom are positive cases. Five are showing paralysis. DUNEDIN, This Day. After several weeks without a notification in this district, a six-year-old boy from St. Clair has been admitted to hospital as a suspected case of infantile paralysis.
