FINES AND COSTS
MINING SAFETY CHARGES
. (Received April 28, 1.30 p.m.) ' " LONDON, April 27. The Gresford Colliery Company and its manager, Mr. William Bonsall, were fined a total of £140, with costs amounting to £350, on eight, charges of .failure to keep records of .the quantities of air found in one part of the Gresford mine. The remaining two summonses, concerning ventilation, were dismissed.
The charges were included in the 42 summonses served in connection with the Gresford colliery disaster in September, 1934, in which 265 lives were lost. ■'... ■■■ •■•. '..
