SEASON CLOSED
The bowling season was officially closed'by the Wellington Club on Saturday afternoon, when a large number of players and friends met in the pavilion. A closing match .was played for trophies presented by Mr. Andrew Fletcher, and then the president (Mr. H. G. Mayer) presented the trophies. On behalf of the junior players, Mr. H. P. Mourant made a present to the club secretary (Mr. C. R. Ingram), as a token of appreciation of the help he had given junior members during the season. Afternoon tea was served in the pavilion and friendly games were enjoyed on the green until dusk. Trophies were presented as folChampion Singles.—Thomas Ballinger. Peace Memorial Trophy, F.,Ross.
