ALL AGE STAKES PAIR
Lucky Jack, according to . a Christchurch writer,, has- developed into a splendid type of pacer—well mannered, a good beginner, and a resolute finisher—and Mr. W. T. Lowe at last appears to have got hold of the horse he has set his heart oil breeding. While he will race kindly in front, Lucky Jack is not a tearaway type, and apparently he will not do his best until there is some prospect of a fight. Once engaged in a tussle and given a flick with the whip the chestnut becomes the true type of standard-bred pacer. With Lucky Jack and Parisienne in first-class order for the. All Age Stakes to be decided at Ash burton on April 10, R. B. Berry should be well pleased with his chances.
